On-site Manager
- Keeping prompt and friendly communication with guests via app and text, answering questions, problem solving, providing feedback/suggestions, and managing all bookings.
- Using forethought to suggest economically-friendly improvements that increase return guests, such as providing each a small bag of epsom salts--prevents abuse of amenity (individual portions) and saves money, without losing the excitement of being pampered.
- Writing content for all house manuals, check-in information, signage, and messages to be sent to guests.
- Delivering quick, organized turnovers between guests while delivering personal touches to each, such as hand-written notes. (Attention to detail is crucial in everything I do.)
President & Acting Treasurer - Parent Teacher Organization
- Took over the PTO when the former officers all quit. Spent all summer researching PTO officer duties, how to conduct a meeting, how to keep track of money and resources, and filling up on fundraiser ideas.
- Acted as treasurer for 6 months, as well, streamlining the recording process, setting up online banking, creating 21st solutions to track teacher spending, and kept meticulous records after each fundraiser.
- Marketed all functions to parents and teachers using Canva, social media, and email. Combined information with wit and humor to engage more parents and teachers.
- Met with the principal repeatedly, asking what worked in the past and what needed to be improved upon. Tried multiple avenues of communication to increase teacher participation and feedback.
- Delegated to the other officers based upon interest, time available, and their individual ideas. Led the way in rethinking fundraisers to increase profit and be more relevant and easier to execute.
- Organized an extensive book fair and ran it every day for 5 days. Planned, advertised, and held monthly meetings with officers and parents.
Content Creator
- Worked remotely, communicating through email in a timely manner.
- Wrote web copy per each project description (information to convey, word count, style of writing, date for submission) and brought personality to the dullest of topics.
- Worked under strict deadlines, never sacrificing quality of research or content.
- Created copy for small start-ups, theater venues, and online magazines.
- Wrote both creative and informational copy, using narrative voice to hold reader interest.
- Learned to navigated the backend of their website to post finished copy for review.
Copywriter
- Worked closely with the owner, finding a voice, discussing business identity and purpose, defining “Food Ready Kids” and “Food Education,” and developing a target audience.
- Wrote the mission statement, philosophy, and landing page after carefully determining the path the business was taking.
- Produced brochure content for a kids’ camp using relevant information from Hungry Education as well as camp-specific details.
- Photographed a Hungry Education children’s baking class that highlighted the idea behind Food Ready Kids and what a child’s positive relationship with food should look like. Captured intimate moments of learning and engagement between the teachers, children, and ingredients.
- All strategy planning and content writing was done remotely, via phone and email, with the utmost care given to client discretion and transparent communication.
Freelance Writing and Photography
- Created 52 weeks worth of email copy for drip campaigns in multiple locations throughout PA and NJ. None were copy and pasted - all were given special attention to detail, thus creating a more personal feel to grab prospective clients’ attention.
- Learned Infusionsoft and used the platform to enter the email copy (also spent hours manually copy/pasted each campaign into word docs as back-up)
- Created monthly calendars to organize blog articles by theme and publishing date. Researched each subject extensively prior to writing, creating articles that were detailed and informative without being dry. One of which (Empty Nesters) I interviewed and photographed an older couple who had just moved,
- Produced several blog articles highlighting individual Philadelphia neighborhoods, all of which I personally visited and photographed. Learned their blog platform and posted all articles and photos in their specific style.

Operations Manager
- Assisted the owner in building up a new small business.
- Provided insight regarding clear client communication, employee pay structure, advertising copy, new employee training, copy for manuals, and most importantly - became the kind of manager that employees are eager to work with.
- Set up more streamlined and economically friendly alternatives by using Google calendar to keep track of jobs and employee hours. This allowed us to share information more easily and save money.
Retail Sales, Supervisor
- Learned the importance of relying on myself to make quick decisions, diffuse difficult situations, and build connections with my customers. Exhibiting clear written communication and consistency with co-workers was key when working alone at different times.
- Gained valuable teaching skills while training new hires, learning to change my approach based on individual learning styles. Quickly became one of their best employee trainers.
- Maintained retail displays that were organized, fresh, and visually appealing throughout the day. Doing this taught me what customers look for and how best to appeal to them. Selling to a wildly diverse group of people each day instilled in me flexibility and patience and a hardcore love for small businesses.
